Temporary Closure Update

Temporary Closure Update

Posted on: April 06, 2020 by Michael Battell

Dear Patients, Patient Relatives, Friends and Colleagues,

I wanted to reach out and extend my heartfelt wish that you're staying healthy during these challenging times. At a time when all of us feel vulnerable, I want you to know you are in my thoughts.

The Government of Ontario extended the Declaration of Emergency and associated emergency measures, including the closure of non-essential workplaces and restrictions on social gatherings until April 13. This is an extension to the closure of non-essential workplaces initially put in place on March 24 and applies to denture clinics as well as many other businesses. It is unlikely there will be any lessening of restrictions in April.

We are in a serious, life-threatening pandemic and we encourage you to follow recommendations from Public Health officials to social distance, continue strict handwashing protocol, and stay at home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance.

Battell Denture Clinic continues to be closed during this Declaration of Emergency. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience the office closure may cause you. Please know we will continue to monitor our telephone answering service and Facebook messages. Kindly call the office at 905-389-2217 and leave a message and we will endeavour to return your call as soon as possible. If you are experiencing a dental emergency please consult your local listings for a dental office providing essential, emergency services. If you are experiencing a denture-related emergency, please leave a message on our answering service so we can return your call and make arrangements for care.

We are passionate about the care we provide at Battell Denture Clinic and we strive to keep our patients, our colleagues, their families and our community healthy and safe.

We will be monitoring this situation as it evolves and keep you updated on our Facebook page and battelldentureclinic.com. The office will reopen for regular services once the government health agencies and the College of Denturists of Ontario allow non-essential services to resume.

Please stay safe and stay healthy.

Sincerely Yours in Good Health,
Michael Battell, Hon. BA, DD
