Denturist Associate/Denture Technician

Battell Denture Clinic provides a full range of denture services including implant-retained dentures, complete/full dentures, partial dentures, relines/rebases, additions, and repairs.
Ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a commitment to providing excellent denture services to our valued patients and to work well in a team environment.

Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Denturist in good standing with The College of Denturists of Ontario.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Ability to do laboratory work and have clinical experience
- Friendly and professional demeanor

Responsibilities:
- Work as a denture technician to support the team and work as a Denturist when the schedule requires
-Must be proficient in all aspects of denture fabrication for partial/complete/implant retained dentures including impressions, custom trays, bite blocks, teeth set up, processing, trimming and polishing, relines/rebases, additions, repairs
-Initiative, problem solving skills and attention to detail are important

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8-21 hours per week
Salary: $27- $40 per hour

Schedule:
• 2 days per week (Monday to Friday)

Ability to commute/relocate:
• Hamilton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:
• denturism: 3 years (preferred but not necessary)

Denture Technician 

Job Description

The candidate must be experienced in all aspects of denture fabrication, denture relines and repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Pouring of models
• Fabrication of custom trays and bite blocks
• Articulating models
• Proficient at set-up of complete and partial dentures
• Wax-ups to form full contours of artificial gums
• Investing, processing, and trimming and polishing (finishing) of complete, partial and implant dentures
• Relines, repairs, and additions
• Maintain and order supplies
• Perform asepsis requirements
• Cleaning of laboratory and workspace

Skills Required:
• Strong quality control analysis skills while conducting inspections of products, services or processes to evaluate quality or performance
• Experience with implant systems
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management, organizational and critical thinking skills
• Team player who works well with others
• Self-management skills are required
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking, light lifting
• English reading comprehension and speaking skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Active listening skills are essential to ensure full attention is applied to work instruction and tasks at hand
• Able to perform repetitive tasks
• Participation in continuing education courses as deemed necessary
• Self-Motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to complete tasks assigned

Full-time

Hours: 32-40 per week
Salary: $25.00-$32.00 per hour

Schedule:
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:
• Hamilton, ON L9A 1B8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:
• AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Experience:
• denture fabrication: 2 years (required)

Language:
• English (preferred)

Shift availability:
• Day Shift (required)
