MICHAEL K. BATTELL, BA (hons), DD

Michael is an enthusiastic denturist dedicated to the craft of denture making. His attention to detail without compromise is key to the exceptional care he gives his patients. He always keeps his patients' overall health in mind and provides treatment options which will best help patients get the most out of their dentures and keep them smiling. Michael believes it is essential to stay current with the most recent innovations in denture techniques and materials, and to be an active member of the denturist community. He served as 2nd Vice-President on the Denturist Association of Ontario's (DAO) Board of Directors for three years and continues to be a supporter of the DAO and the profession.  Michael was honoured with a 40 Under Forty Business Achievement Award in February 2016 for his unwavering commitment to his patients, profession and the Hamilton community.

The Denturists at Battell Denture Clinic regularly attend seminars to better their ability to serve the public and give the kind of care they deserve and can rely on. Michael has been licensed with the College of Denturists since 2006. He earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Toronto and Graduated from the Denturism Program at George Brown College with honours. He works at his practice in Hamilton and at a dental office in Welland. 

When not pursuing his professional goals, Michael spends time with friends, family, and his golden retriever. His interests include: reading, watching movies, attending the theatre and enjoying the outdoors.

KEN R. BATTELL, DD FCAD, Retired

Ken served the public for their denture needs from his Concession Street clinic in Hamilton for over 40 years. During that time Ken also worked tirelessly to have denturists recognized in the dental health profession. He served as Treasurer, Vice-President, and President of the Denturist Association of Ontario as well as Vice-President of the College of Denturists. His dedication to the profession earned him a Fellowship in the Canadian Academy of Denturists.

Ken received his Denturist designation in 1973 and was licensed provincially in 1974. His extensive experience in dental laboratory procedures proved invaluable to his work as a Denturist. 

Ken is now taking pleasure in his retirement from the practice. He spends his down-time enjoying life with his wife of 50 years, and time with his children, and grandchildren and every good book he can get his hands on.

Trish suzuki, office manager

Trish joined the Battell Denture Clinic family in 2002. She is the friendly voice you hear when calling the office and the first welcoming smile you'll see when you come in for your appointments.

Her kindness and warmth put patients immediately at ease and she takes great pride in making sure each patient feels welcome. As office manager, her role involves a little bit of everything: scheduling, co-ordinating and explaining treatment, claim processing, helping patients make financial arrangements and making sure that all patients are cared for. Her incredible organization skills keep daily tasks on schedule and our team running smoothly.

She is a proud mother to a daughter who, along with her husband of 30 years, enjoys spending time with extended family, walking their dog Taiko, gardening and entertaining.
